Starting a bog is a bit intimidating. You want readers to be hooked in the first couple of sentences. Here's my ad: read my blog and you will be taken on adventures of yes, shear bliss.
I never thought I would want to start writing a blog--a lack a creativity or uniqueness perhaps. However, when the tickets were bought to go to Israel for much of the summer I knew my time had come to document my life via words and pictures. Israel? Yes, but hopefully that will just be the beginning. To Israel and BEYOND!
I leave in 33 days to nanny for a student's family in Ashkelon, Israel. 4.5 weeks on the Mediterranean Sea with two sweet children and a plethora of exploration. But, there is much to be done beforehand.
The first big pre-Israel accomplishment was completed a week ago at Lake Geneva--my first marathon! 26.2 (well, the topographical map actually read 26.3). With hills--many hills. But, the goal time was attained... 3:45! After exclaiming to Taylor and Peter at mile 23, "If I EVER say I want to do this again... KILL me", I've caught the marathon bug.

So, this is the beginning of an adventure. Will you join?
