cont...

Onto in Tiberias and onto Nimrod's Castle in the morning. We all were in heaven as the hotel was super cold, the showers wonderful so for the first time in awhile we felt really clean...

Nimrod's Fortress is a Muslim built castle in Northern Israel near the border of Lebanon and Syria. Impressive views and history as we learned of how the cisterns, walls, tunnels, and rooms provided a military stronghold for hundreds of years. We enjoyed exploring the secret passageways and playing hide and go seek everywhere!

Lunch was at Nidal, a hole in the wall phenomenal restaurant along the Syrian border. As Emily and the kids peacefully slept in the back, Nicole and I embarked on this food adventure. We were all pleasantly surprised at the small, peaceful village of Masa'da.

Banias Waterfall hike was next. Stuffed from our phenom. lunch, we trudged 45 min along a winding path in a lush valley amidst the dry, rocky heights of the mountains. We were refreshed from the blazing heat in the spray of the falls.

After a stop at our all time favorite Aroma Coffee, we headed back to Tiberias for dinner and sweet sleep.... only to wake up in the morning and run along the Sea of Galilee and the main street hill which was killer!!

Off to dinner of unlimited hummus, pita, and chicken. more later.
